Student Internships

We are constantly seeking highly talented and motivated college students for summer internships at Sterling. Our intern assignments provide an opportunity to combine real-life work experiences with classroom and technical training, as well as an introduction to the insurance industry. The Sterling internship program also offers students an opportunity to develop a solid skill foundation to grow into future leaders.

Interns participate in a variety of projects that have real impact on the future of our organization. As such, Sterling is committed to providing a program that focuses on strengthening professional and personal skills.

At various points throughout the summer, we invite our interns to participate in a variety of development training seminars. A few examples include:

Eligibility and Criteria
We seek interns who are dedicated to stretching their capabilities and realizing their potential. We are looking for well-rounded, energetic, and talented students who possess the following criteria:

  • Incoming junior or senior
  • High academic achievement (above 3.0 GPA preferred)
  • Majors in risk management, actuarial science, mathematics, economics, accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • Participation in extracurricular activities
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
